Orbscan topography

The computerised corneal tomography and topography combines Placido disk technology and high resolution slit scanning of the cornea, and analyses:

• Thickness of different parts of the cornea.
• Consistency of the external and internal surface.
• Corneal curvature at different points.
• It is used to rule out corneal disorders such as keratoconus, to analyse the astigmatism and corneal curvature, and is fundamental in the preoperative examination for refractive and phaco refractive surgery.
